I started my new job Monday. I had my HR orientation on Wednesday and they asked for my "proof of citizenship." I didn't have it with me and she said, very kindly, that if I showed up Thursday without it, I'd have to go home because I only had 72 hours to do so after being hired. I figured my pasty complexion and Kentucky-Arkansas accent would be sufficient to prove my pedigree, but official proof was strictly demanded. It's definitely worth pondering, if God asked for my proof of citizenship, what would I first want to flash before him? Awesome post! It’s funny. I started my new job Monday.
